The Global and Underserved Medicine (GUM) club provides students an opportunity to reach out to both local and international communities through volunteering and education. Education meetings and conferences serve as platforms for students to inspire others and take forward beyond their time at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and into their careers, producing a more empathetic and well-rounded future physician.

GUM club offers the following services:
– Medical Spanish lessons
– Guest speakers on topics regarding all aspects of underserved medicine
– Community service
– Fundraising
– Medical mission trip placements (previously to Columbia and India)
